Productivity improvement in mining requires a focus on people and organisational development, as much as it requires technology and process improvements. Human factors in mining modernisation, SA (2018 to present)

  • Development of human factors driven mining modernisation, to aid the sector in positioning for increasing industrialisation of hard-rock South African mines.

Strategic development, SA (2014 to 2016)

  • Assessment of strategic impact of management development and change management programmes, determination of return on investment, and identification of opportunities to improve return on investment (Pilanesberg Platinum, Cennergi, Exxaro).
  • Development and roll out of processes to assess and manage the impact of change.
  • Value chain modelling, including an an underground trackless mining operation to analyse equipment fleet sizes.

Leadership development, SA (2014 to 2105)

  • Development of handbook of theory and case studies of leadership success for a major resources company, for use as prescribed book for in-house leadership development and training.
