One Health and One Welfare initiatives require an understanding of the systemic impacts of interventions on people, animals, and the environment. Organisations, especially in welfare, often approach an identified problem with a single-minded objective. Impact Advantage contributes in this environment by assisting stakeholders to examine their objectives and the systemic impacts thereof, by eliciting systemic views on the roles of multiple organisations on development, and by identifying opportunities for improvement.
Information systems improvement in health, SA (2019 to present)
- Research into improvements in information systems in health, in collaboration with University of Stellenbosch and CSIR, including masters student supervision for One Health research.
Visualisation of impact through social network analysis, SA (2018)
- Models to demonstrate and visualise the impact that an organization or project delivers, using network mapping. Includes assessment of the consistency of project objectives with overall development or organizational objectives.
